Music licensing inquiries.

RUXDEN handles music licensing inquiries for film, games, video, and campaigns. Bring the actual placement, not a mood board made of adjectives.

Inquiry only. Availability and terms are answered after the brief is read.

A music licensing inquiry is a request to discuss permission for a defined use. It is not a checkout and it is not a binding quote. RUXDEN can consider an independent track for a film, a game, a video, or a campaign when the request says where the music will sit.

Start with the release or sound you have in mind. Then state the medium, the territory, the term, the duration of the use, and whether the edit needs a clean opening, loop, stem, or shortened ending. For film, describe the scene and where the music enters. For games, distinguish a repeating gameplay loop from a cue heard once. A menu track needs its own brief, especially if it continues across screen changes. These details are not paperwork for its own sake. They change the conversation.

The catalogue is open for licensing inquiries. An independent track licensing discussion stays close to the actual recording and the requested use. RUXDEN does not promise placement, exclusivity, audience size, approval, or a guaranteed outcome. If a requested right is not clear, that is the first thing to resolve.

What the price basis means

There is no public price, rate card, or binding quote on this site. The basis of a licensing inquiry is the intended media, territory, term, edit needs, duration, and delivery format. USD is the operating currency. Terms are discussed after the inquiry, and sending the form does not create a license.

Separate the production from its promotion

A track inside a film and the same track in its paid trailer are different uses. Name both if you need both. For a game, say whether the request covers gameplay capture shared by players or only the recording inside the game. For a campaign, separate paid placements from posts on the brand’s own channels. Do not assume one permission covers every version.

A short route to a usable brief.

Send enough information to let the recording be judged against the placement. RUXDEN will read the request as a use question, not as a promise of availability.

01

Name the scene

Say what the audience sees, where the track enters, how long it is heard, and whether the music carries dialogue or sound design.

02

Set the rights

Give the territory, term, media, campaign or title context, and any exclusivity question. “Worldwide forever” is not a complete brief without the actual media.

03

Mark the edit

Explain the required duration and delivery. A cut-down, loop, instrumental, clean passage, or stem request can affect the scope.

04

Request a conversation

RUXDEN reviews the inquiry and discusses whether the requested terms can be considered. No form submission accepts rights or creates a quote.

Use the language the production team already uses.

  • Release name, link, or a description of the track you mean.
  • Film, series, game, online video, trailer, or campaign placement.
  • Territory and term, including any planned renewals or cutdowns.
  • Approximate duration, scene position, loop requirement, and edit notes.
  • Deadline for a decision, with the actual date if it is within seven days.
  • Delivery needs such as WAV, instrumental, clean edit, or stems.

RUXDEN position

A track can be right for a scene and still need a different term. Put both questions in the first message.

Who this is not for

This is not a stock-music checkout, a placement guarantee, or a way to obtain broad rights without stating the use. It is also not the right route for a general request for “something cinematic.” Name the scene or start with the digital music catalogue. For a new piece of work made with RUXDEN, use the music collaboration inquiry instead.

Send the use. Request a conversation.

The form is for a first conversation only. Add a phone number or an email address so there is a way to reply. Do not send private or sensitive information.

No checkout. No payment. No binding quote.

Name the track and any edit or delivery requirement.
Describe the media, territory, term, duration and deadline. Send only material you have permission to share.
The catalogue is inquiry-only. A submitted inquiry does not grant permission to use a recording.
